A carefully handcrafted Silver and 24ct Gold Foil Brooch skilfully made using an ancient Korean technique called “Keum-Boo”. Carefully textured and tightly bound around an inner Silver ring, this brooch has been treated to give a black patina on the surface leaving the Gold untouched. A heart has been stamped on the inside of the brooch as it was believed that the heart contained thoughts and experiences to be carried on to the afterlife. In ancient Egypt, the colour Black symbolised rebirth and Gold represented the flesh of the Gods and was considered to be sacred and eternal.
